The New Digital Age

This link should be of interest to anyone who even remotely concerned about the direction the world is heading.

If any of my readers read the Left Behind series, the mark of the beast was discussed at length. If my memory serves me right, the mark was a brand of some kind. In depiction across the ages of this mark it was some kind of physical mark on the body. But the Bible never specifically states how the mark is displayed. Are these digital IDs the mark?

In the Bible it is stated there will come a time when mankind will have to make a choice. Allegiance to our Lord and Savior, or to things of man. The Bible also discusses how Satan will lure us in. Are we seeing the demons of Satan at work in our governments? The soon to be ex speaker of the house and the current occupant of the White House profess to be God-fearing catholics, yet they have no issues with ending the life of God most precious creations. Furthermore, abortion is against catholic doctrine, but very few in the church leadership stands up to say this is wrong.

For decades progressives have successfully rid our schools of prayer and God-centered teachings. When I was in high school in the late 1970s Christian based youth organizations operated freely. There was some minor push back from a few teachers, students, and parents. But not enough to cause concerns. These organizations were treated mostly just like any other student club. But that soon changed. Within 10 years, these youth groups were no longer found on most high school campuses.  Pushed out by progressive action under the umbrella of inclusion.

Ever notice how inclusion never includes whites or Christians.

Here's an example of big brother. Click this link. Tolling is a consequence of having a lower intake of taxes, especially gas taxes. As vehicles have become more fuel efficient, gas tax revenue decreases. It's economic 101. As governments force electric vehicles (EVs) on on us, this tax base will dwindle even further. But I want you to focus on this one piece of the article:

The goal of tolling, Putney said, is two-fold: Raise money for the region's growing transportation costs, and deter congestion by tamping down demand for solo drivers.

If there is a main goal for social engineering it is to curb the use of vehicles. Driving car, and the ability to go anywhere one desires, is freedom. If the is one thing progressives detest is the freedom to choose how and when we go about. While tolling may be necessary as the use of EVs continues to climb, the ultimate goal tolling is to get us out of vehicles entirely, to curb our freedom to choose when and where we go. A vehicle represents freedom and progressives will have none of that.

Another interesting slice of the article goes further I explaining how progressives want to use this tax money.

Tolls, Putney said, would help alleviate all of that while also allowing the state to invest in other forms of transit, such as bus lanes, light rail and bike and pedestrian paths.

So, you want to toll vehicles to pay for other, more favored, modes of transport? As it stands now, the state of Oregon, like many others, is struggling to find the necessary funding just to keep the current roadways safe and in good working order. I wonder just how much they are planning on charging people to drive their cars. Also notice this tolling is going to pay for projects that neither add revenue or economic value nor do they contribute to the tax base.

In the Columbia River Gorge ODOT is building a bike/pedestrian trail that will eventually link east Portland with the city of The Dalles. While I have not been able to find the actual cost of this project, I have heard a figure of $37 million. I have no idea whether this number is correct, but that seems like an awful lot of money to spend just so a very, very few can ride their bikes through The Gorge. I go by this trail numerous times a week I have never seen more than just handful of folks riding or walking the completed sections. This is how progressives will spend your tax, and soon, tolling, dollars.
