Gingrich Campaign on Life Support

Me thinks I just heard a large KaBoom from the state of Iowa. I think that was the sound of the Newt Gingrich campaign imploding after the resignation of several key staff members, including campaign manager Rob Johnson.

Whatever it Takes

By any means necessary, that is mantra of the progressives. These people have absolutely no shame. In what should have been a completely non-political event was turned into one when protesters (protesting who knows what) dressed as zombies interrupted a Special Olympic event. When Wisconsin Governor Walker was giving a speech to the attendees, commending them on their efforts, the protesters first booed him then marched into a position that put them between the Special Olympians and Gov Walker. The video was posted on You Tube by the good folks at the MacIver Institute.

Media Now After Wiener (Good!!)

The career of Rep Anthony Wiener continues to unravel. Not only are his colleagues calling for him to step down, but now members of the media are voicing their displeasure at being lied to.  A former girlfriend and Fox News contributor Kristen Powers has suggested that now is the time for him to step down. She feels that what he says can no longer be trusted. At The Daily Beast, Ms Powers writes the following:

This is my general view of sex scandals (earlier she had written everyone lies is sex scandals). But there is lying and then there is what Wiener did. Due to nonstop meetings, I had not had time to watch his media blitz prior to my Greta interview (On-The-Record, a Fox News show) and was slack-jawed when I saw clips of him the next day sneering and pointing fingers at other people for what he knew he had done.  I am of the general view that politicians are not the most honest group of people, but, even using that very low standard, what I saw in those interviews was deeply disturbing.  There is no way anyone can ever believe anything Wiener says again after that.  In fact, I highly doubt that what he said in his press conference is even true.

Calls For Wiener to Resign

I take back what I said about Wiener not getting calls to give up his seat. I really thought the democrats and their enablers in the main stream media would do their best to cover for this bozo with the bulging shorts. But I stand corrected. It seems that democrat leaders are calling for Wiener to step down.

“Having the respect of your constituents is fundamental for a member of Congress. In light of Anthony Weiner’s offensive behavior online, he should resign,” Pennsylvania Rep Allyson Schwartz, a member of the party (democrat) campaign committee’s leadership, said in a statement that was quickly followed by similar expressions from other Democrats.

By day’s end Wednesday, at least six House Democrats had called for Weiner to step down.

Schwartz was the first, and politically the most significant because of her position as a senior leader on the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

I certainly was a bit premature about this and I stand here with hat in hand. But past indiscretions by democrat vs. Republican has nearly always been harder on the Republican, in both the media and the court of public opinion.  I refer back to a previous post where I compared a Republican politician and the outcome of his indiscretions vs. a sitting President and his tryst in the Oval Office.

Sean Penn, the best friend a South American Dictator ever had.  While Hollywood progressive were cheering the “Arab Spring” that got rid of an Egyptian dictator, Sean Penn is suggesting that it might not be such a bad idea to prop up another dictator; in this case Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez.

Great Price On A "Used" Chevy Volt

They prefer sheep that are dumb and easily controlled. Knowledge makes you smart and gives you the ability to think for yourself. Now Might Be A Good Time to Buy A Home

While this story on home ownership at the Wall Street Journal reads a little like an advertisement, it is certainly worth your time to give it a once over.  The story breaks down the reasons why now might be a good time to purchase a home if you are currently renting and have a stable employment history.

As a fan of the Detroit Rocker, I had to link to this post showing Ted Nugent schooling Rosanne Barr. Barr is a typical progressive, completely unaware of how the world turns. If she had her way, we’d be like France, no job growth, a stagnant economy, and no hope of making a better life for your and your family.

Wiener Finally Tells the Truth. UPDATE: 7 Jun 0851 PST

Well, the Wiener-man finally admitted what most of us already suspected: he was having an online affair. For the past week, since the news broke about the photos, Rep Wiener has basically lied to the American people, and more importantly, those he represents in New York City.

First he claimed that a hacker must have cracked his twitter account but refused to go to the FBI (Red Flag!!!).  Then he said he might have sent the photo but wasn’t sure it was him (Um, are we stupid?). Then he tried to get the compliant media to further protect him by making might of the situation by cracking off-color jokes (Dems can crack jokes like that in front or female reports, but not Republicans).  Then Twitter and T-Frog both came out and said their databases and firewalls were fine and had not been cracked.  That is when the walls came tumbling down on Wiener’s head.
