Liberal Civility Rises Again

For most of my politically active life I have always been pounded by the democrats, progressives, and the main stream media that conservatives and Republicans are heartless and cruel, not caring one iota for the “little people.” According to the democrats, they were the only party for those who were oppressed by “the man.” They and they alone are the party of the little people, the working class, the down-trodden.

But how can this be so when there are so many examples of just how heartless and out of touch they truly are?

The primary example of this supposed culture of caring is how they court and keep the black vote. The word racist has been used so many times in recent years that it has come to the point where the word has almost no meaning. Plus, while I am sure most in the democrat party are very much aware of their own party’s racist past (Civil Right legislation opposition, several key democrats were KKK members), the main stream media has thus far refused to report on this racist past. They have even gone as far as to lend their (MSM’s) incredible reach to further the fallacy that conservatives are the racists.
Just recently the left sowed their colors yet again. On the Rachel Maddow Show MSNBC political analyst Eugene Robinson had this to say:

“Not everybody is not going to be down, for example, with the story of how he and his wife handled the stillborn child, whose body they took home to kind of sleep with and introduce it to the rest of the family. It’s a very weird story.” (Source: Real Clear Politics)

Mr. Robinson is referring to the stillborn child that former Senator (and currently running for the Republican nomination) Rick Santorum’s wife delivered in 1996 and the decision they made to bring the baby home for a few hours to allow family members to say goodbye. What Robinson had to say is beyond vile as far as I am concerned. How can someone who supports nearly any and everything that the democrats stand for say something this low and heartless?

And Mr. Robinson is not the only liberal news commentator to go after Santorum. A few days before Robinson caught a serious case of open foot-insert foot disease Fox News ultra-liberal personality Alan Colmes said this about the undecided voter:

“But once they get a load of some of the crazy things he’s done and done, like taking his two-hour-old baby when it died right after child birth home and played with it so that his other children would know that the child was real.” He went on to say a little later in the segment that this decision shows a certain lack of judgment. I think it shows a certain behavior which is questionable.” (Source: The Blaze)

So here we have two liberal commentators saying Santorum is “weird” and “lacks judgment.” Well, the American Pregnancy Association (APA) has a different feeling about this.

With the loss of your baby, your family members will also grieve. Your baby is someone’s granddaughter, brother, cousin, nephew or sister. It is important for your family members to spend time with the baby. This will help them come to terms with their loss.  (Source: APA)

This is only the latest episode of liberal’s gnashing their teeth over a choice made by a conservative family regarding a baby. Most of you are well aware of how the liberal media went absolutely bananas over Sarah and Todd Palin’s choice to keep a child even after they were aware the baby would be born with Downs Syndrome.

If anything positive can be taken from all of this there is no questions that liberal keep on giving. I will also say this: I truly do think there is a large segment of society that is completely clueless when it comes to making an informed voting decision. How someone could vote for a party that has the kind of support from the media as shown by Robinson and Colmes is beyond me.

I will give credit where credit is due: Both Robinson and Colmes did apologize, although Robinson’s apology was more of an excuse.
