GOP Gains in the House

Two pieces of good news coming out of New York and Nevada.

Republican Mark Amodei beat democrat Kate Marshall by more than 20 points in a special election held in Nevada

In New York, Republican Bob Turner best democrat David Weprin. This Anthony “Special Tweet” Wiener’s old seat. This is considered an upset as the district has voted democrat for the past million or so years.

There are some who opining that Welprin lost the seat because the Jewish voters are starting to turn on the democrats. Adam Hasner who is a candidate for office in Florida had this to say:

“The results are also a clear message that the Obama administration’s deeply hostile policies toward Israel have electoral consequences, even in the safest of districts and in the bluest of cities. This further illustrates that Jewish voters, who have traditionally supported Democrats, are searching for alternatives to the politicians and policies that have strained the natural alliance between America and Israel.” (Source: Politico)

Can it be that the American people are finally waking up to the fact that democrat policy (with some help from a RINO or two) has driven our nation to the brink? Sure hope the momentum continues into 2012. We really need to gain control of the White House and the Senate.
