People Want Free Stuff from the People Who Pay for Their Free Stuff

A friend of mine sent this to me today. Maybe you have seen it, maybe not.  It certainly does a great job of capturing the mood of the country right now, on both sides. On the right, we want people to pick themselves up by the bootstraps and get moving. On the left, they want someone to provide the bootstraps, help them get up, and then get paid for using the bootstrap and getting up.

Feel free to copy and paste the text and pass it along.

The folks who are getting the free stuff, don’t like the folks who are paying for the free stuff,

Because the folks who are paying for the free stuff,

Can no long afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

And,

The folks who are paying for the free stuff,

Want the free stuff to stop.

And the folks who are getting the free stuff,

Want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff that are already getting!

Now… the people who forcing the people who pay for the free stuff,

Have told the people, who are paying RECEIVING the free stuff,

That the people who are PAYING for the free stuff,

Are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.

We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are,

Now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.

So…the people who are GETTING the free stuff,

Have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff,

By the people who are forcing some people pay for their free stuff,

And giving them the free stuff in the first place.

Now understand this.  All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The Reason?
The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the Treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the Treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 231 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that 2012. Failure to change spells the end of the United States as we know it.

  1. Funny post. Your post popped up first on google when I entered the search terms, "people want free stuff".

I had columbine seeds on sale very cheap. I bought the plant and have tended it for three years. I shook the seeds out of the pods. I posted them for sale for a few bucks--cheap. Nobody responded. So I reposted them free just to see what would happen. I got 6 or 7 responses within a day from people begging to have them. Yeah, well, I will keep them thank you very much.

Sometimes it seems like everyone in this country has got their mouth open like a baby bird waiting for someone to drop a worm in it. Give me give me give me. I don't want to pay for it or earn it. Just give me give me give me.
