Oregon Ranks #9

Well, Oregon’s 2011 football recruiting class didn’t finish as predicted earlier.  Even after losing out on a couple of studs, such as Roderick Byers to Clemson, Oregon’s recruit class finished in the top 10 ( lists Oregon as #9), which is the best position ever.  Oregon did land De’Anthony Thomas, a 5-star recruit from Crenshaw High in Los Angeles, at the last minute to go along with 5-star recruit Colt Lyerla.  Landing Thomas was a really big deal since Oregon took one of the best RBs in the nation right out of USC’s backyard.  In fact, he had verbally committed to USC, but changed his mind after a visit to Oregon last week. Losing Thomas also knocked USC from the top stop, falling down to #4.
