Pelosi at it Again

Nancy Pelosi is a nit-wit, just no two ways about it. My blogger-in-arms, Donald, over at American Power begs to differ about whether Pelosi is a nit-wit and he makes a valid point.  But I still think they only place she could ever get elected is in a city like San Francisco and they tend to elect folks that are a little, um, different, shall we say. So how about knucklehead?

The other day Pelosi gave a speech at Tufts University discussing the current political environment. This is a short excerpt.

At the 25 second point Pelosi said:
“To my Republican friends, take back your party so that it doesn’t matter so much who wins the election because we have shared values.”

At the 54 second point she said:
“But the fact is, is that elections shouldn’t matter as much as they do.”

I would submit to her that having like-minded members in Congress is what has gotten us into the mess we are currently in.  Back when Republicans controlled Congress and Bush was in the White House, the Republicans could have reigned in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  Bush attempted to do so, but was rebuffed by Barney Frank (D-MA) with little to no support from his Republican majority.

Spending is way out of control and while the 2008-2010 Congress and President Obama should get most of the blame President Bush and his Republican majority were free spenders also (although not to the level of the dems and Obama). There were way too many RINOs in Congress willing to spend our taxes anyway they saw fit with little regard for the future.

So Ms Pelosi, elections do matter and they should matter. If we continue to keep electing free spenders such as yourself we will never see our budget deficit reduced and will continue to slide towards being France. Your “Republican friends” might be people you want to invite to your cocktail parties, but the Republicans we have recently elected and will do so again in 2012 are put there by us so they can reign in spending. We want folks in Congress who are going to oppose your free-spending ways.

  1. How much more do you think the people in
this country can stand of these leftist
communists? And, I live 5 hrs. from
Washington, DC and the tomfoolery that
abounds there....Would love to live far,
    far away....Can't afford to move....the
government in NC and the US took care
    of any money to move...

  2. Sandy, at our current rate of spending, not much more. As I have pointed out before, the minority was allowed to do what they wanted because the majority was too quiet. that is begining to change but the hole we have dug is so deep, it will be painful for most of us to make the cuts necessary. I will tell you one thing that surprises me is that even after Obama and Pelosi have been exposed for what they are (free-spending socialists), they are still viable candidates.

  3. That's a really scary thought. Too much kool aid for the "We the People".
Have a great day in the NW.
