Mike over at Confederate Yankee has another update on the Erik Scott case. While Mike’s more recent posts have traveled away from the center of the Erik Scott case, he has started to shine some light on how the Las Vegas Police Department operates and how these other incidents relate to how the Scott case has handled by the LVPD. If you have not bothered to travel over the CY and take a gander at the posts Mike has put up, I really think you should take some time to do so. In the posts Mike gives vivid details of possible incompetence at best and possible corruption at worst within the LVPD.
It is a little scary when you think about how much power law enforcement has over the people of Las Vegas. As you delve deeper into Mike’s posts it begins to sounds a little like novel written by John Grisham. But one big difference should stand out to you. Grisham’s novels take place in small towns in the south while this real life drama is played out in one of America’s largest and busiest cities. I do recommend that you start off at the beginning, when Erick Scott was shot and killed by three LVPD officers outside a local Costco.
