Ever so slowly reality is taking chunks out of the recovery. The latest chunk, and it is a big one, is the number of jobless claims has risen to its highest level in over 8 months. Growth has also slowed to 1.8%, indicating that firms will yet again hold off on hiring in numbers big enough to have an enough of an impact to overcome rising gas a food prices.
